About the AMOD class

The class Autonomous Mobility on Demand: from car to fleet is a new offering at ETH Zürich that started this year Fall 2017.

It is developed by the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT).

In Fall 2017, the class was taught at the same time in Montréal and in Chicago. They will connect live to share their learning experience!

About Duckietown

The class uses the Duckietown platform.

Duckietown is an international educational initiative whose goal is to develop a reproducible class in vehicle autonomy.

About the AMZ Driverless project

The AMZ driverless project is a student-run project in which every year an autonomous racecar is equipped with sensors and actuators, and programmed to race in Formula Student Driverless competitions. AMZ driverless was the overall winner of the first ever autonomous racing competition in Germany last Summer. You can see their performance in this video.

Opportunities for ETH students to work in robot autonomy

There are plenty of opportunities for students at ETH to work on self-driving cars and other autonomous robots, such as quadrotors and quadrupeds.

On January 23th you can meet the people involved in:

• The vehicle autonomy projects in the Frazzoli lab;
• The AMZ Driverless project.
